13 Day Morocco Tour Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen
Welcome to your 13-day Morocco tour from Tangier! Your journey begins by exploring Tangier, also known as "the Bride of the North." On day one, we'll pick you up from your accommodation, the airport, or the port in Tangier. You'll visit the beautiful Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel to take in panoramic views of where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. Afterward, we'll drive inland to Chefchaouen, passing through the city of Tetouan and the Rif mountains. You'll have the rest of the day to explore the blue city and spend the night in a hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing Chefchaouen - The Blue City
On day two, we'll take you on a sightseeing tour of Chefchaouen, also known as Achaoun. You'll enjoy wandering through the charming old Medina with blue doors and alleyways painted in blue and white. You can also hike to the Spanish mosque, located on high ground, for a spectacular view of the entire blue city.
Day 03: Chefchaouen – Fes
Today, we'll depart Chefchaouen and head to Fes, one of Morocco's oldest and most important cities. Along the way, we'll stop in Volubilis, the ancient Roman city, and the holy city of Moulay Idriss. You'll have the chance to explore the ancient ruins of Volubilis and experience the spiritual atmosphere of Moulay Idriss. We'll continue to Fes, where you'll check into your hotel and rest for the night.
Day 04: Fes - Guided City Tour
This day is dedicated to exploring the medieval city of Fes. You'll embark on a guided tour of the Fes Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the Leather Tanneries, and the Bab Bou Jeloud gate. You'll also have the opportunity to shop for traditional Moroccan crafts and souvenirs in the bustling Medina.
Day 05: Fes - Middle Atlas Mountains - Ifrane - Erfoud
On the 5th day, we'll head south towards the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through the clean and picturesque town of Ifrane, often referred to as "Little Switzerland." We'll continue our journey to Erfoud, known for its date palms and unique desert landscape. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to take in the scenic beauty of the Middle Atlas region.
Day 06: Erfoud - Sahara Desert Camel Trek
This morning, you'll embark on a memorable adventure into the heart of the Sahara Desert. You'll take a camel trek into the dunes of Merzouga, where you'll spend a night in a traditional desert camp. Experience the magic of the desert, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, and gaze at the stars in the clear desert sky.
Day 07: Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
Day 7, we'll depart Erfoud and head to the breathtaking Todra Gorge, known for its towering canyon walls and lush greenery. You'll have the opportunity for a leisurely hike through the gorge. Afterward, we'll continue to the stunning Dades Valley, where you'll spend the night in a charming local guesthouse.
Day 08: Dades Valley - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
In the morning, we'll depart from the Dades Valley and make our way to the ancient Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous location for numerous film productions. Explore the ksar (fortified village) and learn about its history. Later, we'll continue to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the "Hollywood of Morocco," and visit the Kasbah Taourirt.
Day 09: Ouarzazate - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
Today, we'll journey through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, one of the most scenic routes in Morocco. Along the way, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the rugged mountain landscapes. Our destination is the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you'll have the evening to relax and explore the city at your own pace.
Day 10: Marrakech - Free Day
A free day for you to explore Marrakech at your leisure. You can revisit some of your favorite sites, go shopping in the souks, or simply relax and soak in the atmosphere of this enchanting city. In the evening, you may choose to dine at a rooftop restaurant with views of the city's historic skyline.
Day 11: Marrakech - Cooking Class and Gardens
This morning, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a Moroccan cooking class to learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan dishes. Afterward, we'll visit the Menara Gardens and the Saadian Tombs, which are historic landmarks in Marrakech.
Day 12: Marrakech - The Red City
First, you'll explore the vibrant Red City of Marrakech. Highlights include the Jardin Majorelle, the Bahia Palace, and the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. You'll also have free time to shop in the colorful souks and enjoy Moroccan cuisine at a local restaurant.
Day 13: Departure from Marrakech
And with that, the 13-day Moroccan tour comes to an end, today we'll arrange for your transfer to Marrakech airport for your departure flight.
