DAY 01: Arrival to Tangier - Chefchaouen
Welcome to our 6-day Morocco tour from Tangier to Merzouga! On your first day, we'll pick you up from your accommodation, airport, or port in Tangier. Our journey starts with the stunning Chefchaouen. En route, we'll explore the iconic Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains before settling in for the night at a hotel in Chefchaouen.
DAY 02: Chefchaouen – Roman Ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Day two begins with exploring the charming alleyways of the 'blue city', Chefchaouen. We'll then marvel at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour continues to Meknes, the Ismaili capital, featuring the iconic Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, and the granary. We conclude the day in Fes, with an overnight stay at a traditional Riad.
DAY 03: Guided Tour Sightseeing Fes
Day three is dedicated to exploring Fes, a cultural and religious center of Morocco. Highlights include the Royal Palace gate, the historic medieval Medina, the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the Medrasa Bouanania, and the iconic Quaraouin mosque and university - the oldest university in the world. The day concludes with a visit to "the Mellah", the Jewish quarter, and an ancient fortress for panoramic views. Overnight stay at your Riad in Fes.
DAY 04: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara
On day four, we'll venture south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture. We'll then explore the Cedars Forest, home to Barbary macaques, and proceed to Midelt for lunch. The journey continues through Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the scenic Ziz Valley, leading us to the majestic Sahara desert of Merzouga. Experience a camel trek across the dunes, enjoy the sunset, and spend the night at a desert camp under the stars.
DAY 05: Merzouga Sahara - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
Day five starts with a beautiful sunrise in the Merzouga Sahara. After breakfast, we visited Rissani town and the fossilized marble workshops in Erfoud. The journey takes us through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to the breathtaking Todra Gorges. We'll end the day in the stunning Dades Valley, known for its unique "monkey fingers" rock formations, with an overnight stay at a local hotel.
DAY 06: Dades Valley - Roses Valley - Skoura Palm Groves - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakesh
The final day of our journey takes us from the Dades Valley to the fragrant Rose Valley in Kalaa Magouna, celebrated for its annual Rose Festival. We'll explore the palm groves of Skoura and visit Ouarzazate, a famous film production location. Our highlight is the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour concludes in Marrakesh, after passing through the stunning Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains. We'll drop you off at your Riad in Marrakesh, marking the end of this unforgettable Moroccan adventure.

Accommodation
Hotels and riads: comfortable, hand-picked hotels, kasbahs and riads along the route, all with private bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Desert camp, Merzouga: a camp among the dunes, reached by camel. Standard tents or luxury tents with a private bathroom are available. Dinner is served in camp, followed by Berber music around the fire.

Most days include 3 to 6 hours of driving with plenty of stops for photos, lunch and visits. The days to and from the desert are the longest.
Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat or scarf and a light jacket. For the desert night, bring warm layers, especially from October to March.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most pleasant. Summer is very hot in the desert, and winter nights can be cold.
