The itinerary:
6 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech
Day 1: Fes Sightseeing
After breakfast in your riad, begin your exploration of Fes, the spiritual heart of Morocco. The day is dedicated to the Medina with sites such as the Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the oldest in the world), the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. Post-lunch, view the Royal Palace gate, the Mellah (Jewish quarter), and a pottery cooperative. Conclude with a fortress visit for a panoramic Medina view. Stay overnight in an authentic riad.
Day 2: Fes to the Sahara Desert via Ifrane
Leaving Fes, we head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco'. Visit the largest cedar forest in Morocco near Azrou to see Barbary Monkeys. Travel through Berber villages to the palm valleys of Errachidia and reach Erfoud, the fossil capital. The journey ends in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Overnight at a hotel near the dunes.
Day 3: Merzouga Sightseeing
Explore the depths of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Visit Khamlia, meet nomads, and discover old mines. Enjoy a 'Berber Pizza' for lunch. The afternoon brings a camel trek and a night in a desert camp with Berber music under the stars.
Day 4: Sahara to Ouarzazate via Todra Gorge
Depart for Rissani and its historic market, then to the oasis of Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. After lunch, drive through the Dades Valley to the city of Roses and along the 'Road of a Thousand Kasbahs' to Ouarzazate, with its cinematic history. Overnight in Ouarzazate with dinner.
Day 5: Ouarzazate to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou
Visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Kasbah of Telouet. Traverse the Tizi n'Tichka pass with scenic stops before arriving in Marrakech. Overnight in a riad.
Day 6: Marrakech Sightseeing
Discover Marrakech with a local guide. Visit the Menara, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia, Majorelle Gardens, and the vibrant souks. Experience the famous Djemaa El Fna square's dynamic atmosphere. Overnight in the riad.

Accommodation
Hotels and riads: comfortable, hand-picked hotels, kasbahs and riads along the route, all with private bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Desert camp, Merzouga: a camp among the dunes, reached by camel. Standard tents or luxury tents with a private bathroom are available. Dinner is served in camp, followed by Berber music around the fire.

Most days include 3 to 6 hours of driving with plenty of stops for photos, lunch and visits. The days to and from the desert are the longest.
Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat or scarf and a light jacket. For the desert night, bring warm layers, especially from October to March.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most pleasant. Summer is very hot in the desert, and winter nights can be cold.
