3 Day Morocco Tour Itinerary:
DAY 01: Fez to Merzouga Desert
Ifrane, Cedar Forest, Atlas Mountains, Erfoud, Merzouga
Start your tour from Fez, heading towards the Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco." En route, visit the cedar forests near Azrou to observe Barbary apes. Traverse the Tizi Ntalghamt pass, experiencing the transition from the Middle Atlas to the High Atlas Mountains and the striking Ziz Valley. After a lunch break in Midelt, continue through Erfoud and Rissani before reaching the breathtaking Merzouga Desert. Here, embark on a camel ride to a Berber camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy a traditional dinner, and spend the night under the stars.
DAY 02: Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley
Sunrise, Todra Gorge, Dades Valley
On the second day, wake up early to witness a beautiful sunrise over the dunes near the camp. After breakfast, depart for Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges. The journey continues to the scenic Dades Valley, where you will have dinner and stay overnight, marveling at the valley's natural beauty.
DAY 03: Dades Valley to Marrakech
Kelaa Magouna, Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, High Atlas Mountain
After breakfast, drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate, passing through the renowned Roses Valley and Skoura village. In Ouarzazate, also known as "the Hollywood of Africa," visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, ascend the Tizi nTichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, with stops for panoramic views and a visit to an Argan oil cooperative. Conclude your journey in Marrakech by late afternoon or early evening.

Accommodation
Hotels and riads: comfortable, hand-picked hotels, kasbahs and riads along the route, all with private bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Desert camp, Merzouga: a camp among the dunes, reached by camel. Standard tents or luxury tents with a private bathroom are available. Dinner is served in camp, followed by Berber music around the fire.

Most days include 3 to 6 hours of driving with plenty of stops for photos, lunch and visits. The days to and from the desert are the longest.
Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat or scarf and a light jacket. For the desert night, bring warm layers, especially from October to March.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most pleasant. Summer is very hot in the desert, and winter nights can be cold.
