6 Day Morocco Tour Itinerary:

DAY 01: Arrival in Casablanca, Morocco's Economic Hub

Your 6-day tour from Casablanca begins at the airport, the port or your hotel. Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and its economic center. First, we visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the biggest mosque in the country, which stands right on the Atlantic Ocean.

After that, you have free time for lunch and a walk along the Corniche of Casablanca. Finally, you spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

DAY 02: Casablanca - Volubilis Roman Ruins - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, we drive to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can admire well-preserved Roman mosaics, pillars and archways.

Next, we continue 30 kilometers to Meknes, the imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail. In Meknes, we see Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal Stables, the Granary and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then, we head to Fes, where you spend the night in a charming riad.

DAY 03: Guided Tour of Fes, Morocco's Cultural Heart

Today is all about Fes, the cultural and religious center of Morocco. With a local guide, we start at the gates of the Royal Palace. Then, we enter the UNESCO-listed medieval medina, a maze of narrow alleys and busy streets.

On the way, you see the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud), the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain and the famous tanneries. We also pass the Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, known as the oldest university in the world.

Afterwards, we visit the Jewish quarter, called the Mellah. In the afternoon, we drive up to an old fortress for a panoramic view over the medina. Finally, you return to your riad to relax.

DAY 04: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, we drive south through Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco" because of its alpine-style houses and cool climate. Next, we stop in the Cedar Forest, home to wild Barbary macaques.

Later, we reach Midelt for lunch. Then, we cross the Tizi n'Talghemt pass and follow the Ziz Valley, stopping for its wide views.

In the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga. There, you swap the car for a camel and ride across the dunes to watch the sunset from a high dune. Afterwards, you reach our camp, where traditional tents meet modern comfort. In the evening, enjoy Berber drum music around the fire, dinner and a night under the stars.

DAY 05: Merzouga Sahara - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Wake up early for a beautiful sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast. Then, your driver meets you for the next stage.

First, we visit Rissani, the old capital of the Tafilalet region. Its busy souk takes place three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday). Next, we stop in Erfoud at a fossil marble workshop.

After that, we drive through the Tinjdad palm groves to the Todra Gorges. Here, red cliffs rise high above the river, and you have time to walk between them. Later, we continue to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. On the way, we stop at the strange "monkey fingers" rocks and a viewpoint over the valley. Finally, you enjoy dinner and a night in a hotel.

DAY 06: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas - Marrakech

On the last day, we start with the Rose Valley in Kalaat M'Gouna. If you travel in May, you may even see the colorful Rose Festival. Next, we pass the palm groves of Skoura and the town of Ouarzazate.

Then, we visit Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village listed by UNESCO. It also appears in famous films and series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
