Itinerary:
DAY 01: Marrakech to Ouarzazate via High Atlas
Embark on your Marrakech desert tour, journeying through the High Atlas mountains to the storied Telouat Kasbah and the Ounila Valley. Discover the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before reaching Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa. Overnight at a local hotel, dinner included.
DAY 02: Ouarzazate to Merzouga via Draa Valley
Post-breakfast, traverse the Draa Valley's kasbahs and Berber villages. After lunch in Nkob or Alnif, arrive at the Merzouga dunes for a camel ride to Dihya Desert Camp. Enjoy an evening of music and stargazing.
DAY 03: Merzouga to Dadès Valley via Rissani and Todra Gorges
Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. Post-breakfast, visit Rissani Market and Erfoud's fossil craftsmen. Explore the Todra Gorges and continue to the Dadès Valley for an overnight stay, with dinner and breakfast at your hotel.
DAY 04: Dadès Valley to Marrakech via Roses Valley
After breakfast, admire the Dadès Valley's kasbahs. Visit Ouarzazate's Taourirt Kasbah and optionally, the cinema museum. Return to Marrakech via the Tizi Ntichka pass, with picturesque stops en route.

Accommodation
Hotels and riads: comfortable, hand-picked hotels, kasbahs and riads along the route, all with private bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner are included.
Desert camp, Merzouga: a camp among the dunes, reached by camel. Standard tents or luxury tents with a private bathroom are available. Dinner is served in camp, followed by Berber music around the fire.

Most days include 3 to 6 hours of driving with plenty of stops for photos, lunch and visits. The days to and from the desert are the longest.
Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat or scarf and a light jacket. For the desert night, bring warm layers, especially from October to March.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most pleasant. Summer is very hot in the desert, and winter nights can be cold.
