DAY 01: Arrival in Casablanca, Morocco's Economic Capital
Begin your 14-day grand Morocco tour itinerary in Casablanca, the country's largest city and economic center. Your guide will pick you up from the airport, port, or your accommodation to start your adventure. Visit the largest mosque in Morocco, the Hassan II Mosque, situated on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, explore the city and the Corniche of Casablanca. Overnight stay in a hotel.
DAY 02: Casablanca - Rabat - Assilah
Travel from Casablanca to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, known for landmarks that speak to its Islamic and French-colonial heritage. Then, head to Assilah, a picturesque town on the northwest tip of the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Enjoy the vibrant art scene and beautiful beaches. Overnight stay in a hotel.
DAY 03: Assilah - Tangier - Chefchaouen
Drive along the coastline to Tangier, "the bride of the north," located where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel before driving inland through Tetouan and the Rif Mountains. Stops will be made along the way for panoramic views. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen, the blue city.
DAY 04: Sightseeing in Chefchaouen
Explore the blue city of Chefchaouen, famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in white and blue. Stroll through the charming old Medina, which has beautiful authentic blue doors and whitewashed walls. Afterward, hike to the Spanish mosque, located on high ground, for a spectacular view of the whole blue city. Overnight stay in the same hotel.
DAY 05: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
Drive to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful mosaics, pillars, and archways. Then visit the Ismaili capital of Meknes, where you can see Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Finally, head to Fes for an overnight stay in a Riad.
DAY 06: Guided Tour Sightseeing in Fes
Explore the cultural and religious center of Morocco with a local guide. Visit the Royal Palace gate, the medieval Medina, and the oldest university in the world, the Quaraouin mosque. Explore the Jewish quarter, known as "the Mellah," and take in panoramic views of the city from an ancient fortress. Overnight stay in a Riad.
DAY 07: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Merzouga Sahara
Travel through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco. Continue to the cedar forest, where you can feed Barbary macaques. Drive to Midelt for free time for lunch. Then, travel through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley to reach the Merzouga Sahara desert. Cross the desert on camels and watch the sunset from atop a high dune before heading to a nomad-style luxury camp. Enjoy Berber drums music, dancing around the campfire, and stargazing under the vast open sky.
DAY 08: Merzouga Region Exploration - Nomads - Khamlia (Gnaoua Village) - Merzouga Lake - Erg Chebbi - Palm Grove
This is the 2nd week of the 14 day Morocco tour. First, you will experience the breathtaking sunrise in the middle of the desert by waking up early in the morning. After breakfast, meet your driver for a day of exploration in the Merzouga region. Discover dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil areas, and fabulous oases, perfect for outdoor activities.
Start your journey off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine in Merzouga, then pay a visit to the nomads in their handmade woven tent and learn about their way of life while enjoying Berber tea. Next, head to Khamlia village, where you can experience the Gnaoua music and dance performances by the inhabitants who originated from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy lunch in a restaurant before taking a stroll in the palm trees grove and drive a few kilometers to see the wild Merzouga Lake, also known as the flamingo's lake. Return to Merzouga for dinner and an overnight stay in the Hotel or the same camp.
DAY 09: Merzouga Sahara - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
Leave the desert after breakfast to visit Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet and a major trading center with a lively souk. Continue to Erfoud to visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble before driving through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. Marvel at the grand high red cliff-sided canyon carved out by the Todra River, ideal for rock climbers. Enjoy lunch in a restaurant and continue to the Dades Valley through Boumalne Dades, stopping at the "monkey fingers" rock formation and a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
DAY 10: Dades Valley - Roses Valley - Palm Groves of Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
Head to Kalaa Magouna after breakfast to visit the Rose Valley, where a Rose Festival is held annually in May where locals offer their rose products. Drive through the palm groves of Skoura before reaching Ouarzazate, where famous movies were shot. Visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and featured in many movies and TV series. Drive to Marrakech through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains with stops for lunch and photo opportunities. Overnight stay in a Riad BB Marrakech or similar.
DAY 11: Guided Tour Sightseeing Marrakech
Explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide after breakfast. Visit the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque, and stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Enjoy free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square before visiting the Koutoubia mosque, the largest in Marrakesh, and the Majorelle garden. Transfer to your accommodation with free time to wander in Jemaa El-Fna on your own.
DAY 12: Explore Essaouira City from Marrakech
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before departing for the coastal city of Essaouira. On the way, we'll stop to see the famous Argan trees and goats, as well as enjoy panoramic views. Essaouira, also known as Mogador, is one of Morocco's important coastal cities. Here, we'll visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons, and the old Medina. After a full day of exploring, we'll transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Essaouira.
DAY 13: Return to Marrakech from Essaouira
After breakfast, we'll depart from Essaouira and drive back to Marrakech. Along the way, we'll make stops for stunning panoramic views. Once we arrive in Marrakech, you'll have free time to wander the famous Jemaa El-Fna square before retiring to your Riad for an overnight stay.
DAY 14: Departure from Marrakech
On the last day of your 14 day tour from Casablanca, we'll pick you up from your Riad and transfer you to Marrakech airport, depending on your flight time. This marks the end of your tour, but we hope the memories of your incredible journey will last a lifetime.
