from Casablanca
Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, is a vibrant city with a rich history and culture. From Casablanca, you can take several exciting day tours to explore the nearby cities. Here are a few options:
Rabat
As Morocco's political capital, Rabat is just a little over an hour's drive from Casablanca. A day trip could include visits to landmarks like the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Royal Palace, the Kasbah of the Udayas, and the ancient ruins of Chellah.
Marrakech
About 2.5 to 3 hours away by car, Marrakech is famous for its medina, the Majorelle Garden, Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square. It could be a long day trip, but it's certainly possible.
Chefchaouen
Known as the Blue Pearl, this city is famous for its blue-painted streets. It's a longer trip (about 4 hours drive), but its unique charm might be worth the journey.
Fez
A bit farther away (about 3 hours drive), Fez is known for its stunning Medina, the oldest university in the world (University of Al Quaraouiyine), and the Royal Palace. This could be a more intense day trip due to the distance.
El Jadida
This coastal city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its Portuguese fortified city of Mazagan. It's a shorter trip from Casablanca, so it's perfect for a more relaxed day out.
